Kennedy Park Brophy Terrace and Cois Carrig had the Lighting of their Christmas tree recently
The committee and Residents worked hard all week getting things ready and even though it was cold the huge attendance showed that the community Spirit is no force to be reckoned with.
The Christmas tree is our memorial tree to remember our loved ones passed and a star with the names is placed on the tree. Our tree was than lite by one of the Residents and this year there was a bit of sadness as Ena O Lone turned on the Lights in Honour of her Late Husband Michael.
Ena was Surrounded by her family as she pressed the switch and KBC officially kicked off Christmas, Fr Harding Blessed Our Tree and Crib but Must Importantly the Residents and our loved ones who had passed.
It was a great evening and Santa made an appearance to the delight of all the children and he gave them little treats to the dongs of Christmas from the Choir of Corville NS.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who made this happen
