Roscrea People 2004:

The latest edition of the ever-popular Roscrea People Journal is still available. Now in its seventeenth year as an annual publication the Journal continues to grow in popularity. A large crowd gathered at the Tower Pub/Restaurant on Wednesday evening last to witness the launch of the 32nd edition. Liam Doran was bestowed the honour this year of launching the Roscrea People. Liam spoke very eloquently about the history of the journal, the town of Roscrea and the importance of keeping records of the times we live in.

The journal is full of interesting articles and should prove to be a very entertaining read. Apart from the yearly review of most clubs, committees and organisations in the area, this year's edition also features the Famine Memorial Garden In Scart, Reflections on the year by Michael Smith T.D, An article by Abbot Laurence Walsh, and a feature on Mary Dillon one of the brightest new talents on the Irish Art Scene.

The Roscrea People is very favourably priced at just 6 and makes an ideal stocking filler each Christmas.

The Roscrea People is a community 'good news' publication. Sales of the Roscrea People as ever will be used to continue Roscrea People projects at St Cronan's, Roscrea Library and the various schools in the community. Congratulations to Editor George Cunningham and his project team for yet another wonderful publication.
